Recess by Perkins Bacon 1851/55: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) brownish grey on blued paper, a used example with large margins all round on 1853 entire letter to Paris, tied by "1" numeral obliterator of Port of Spain. 'Trinidad' faint double arc cds and despatch (1 / June 9) in black on reverse with London transit (July 1) where framed "COLONIES / &C. ART 13" in red applied.
