Auction Series 257-264 in Zurich Day 2

1868: 1 d. green, a used example of rich colour with large even margins all round showing variety "Frame Inverted", cancelled by LIMA cds (13 Dec 1872) to piece and hinged back to piece after being removed for checking. It is interesting to note that many of the known genuine examples of this variety were cancelled on this exact date, though the usage is recorded between 29 November 1872 and 21 January 1873 only.
