1939 Crash mail carried by Imperial Airways flying boat "Centurion": TWO covers from Rangoon, BURMA (despatched 11th/12th June 1939) to England, carried by the "Centurion" which crashed in the Hooghly River near Calcutta on 12th June 1939, both with handstamp "SALVAGED MAIL/EX. CENTURION", well written up on an album pages. Scarce covers from one of only three Imperial Airways flying boats (Scipio 1936, Cygnus 1937 and Centurion 1939) carried mail and crashed.
