1871: Envelope addressed to Philadelphia, U.S.A. bearing 1867-68 QV 2c. brown, 8c. orange and 32c. pale red tied with "SINGAPORE/A/JY 14/71"--"A14" duplex d/s and with circular firms cachet in blue (with date), endorsed 'via Brindisi' with 'London/Paid' transit in red, and rated '1/8' in red crayon, with New York hand-struck '2/Cents' accountancy in red. A FINE AND VERY RARE COVER OF TRANS-ATLANTIC MAIL FROM SINGAPORE PAYING THE 42 CENT RATE.
