1⅓ Schilling red-carmine, two horizontal strips of 3 with DKr. "ALTONA 29/6 66" on envelope to Entlebuch in the 2nd Swiss district. Due to the centrally applied address, the stripes were applied diagonally and glued over the margin of the envelope (here accordingly defective); overall slightly age-spotted, otherwise in good condition. A very rare destination for Schleswig-Holstein, only 2 wide covers from this postage period are registered. Certificate Möller BPP (2007)

"RENDSBURG 23 11 66" on blue envelope to Lisbon, postage paid with 1 Silbergroschen for Schleswig-Holstein, 2 Silbergroschen Postverein postage and 4 Silbergroschen further postage (noted on face). Some small age spots, but almost exclusively outside the postage paid. An attractive and very rare foreign cover; we have not registered a wide one to Portugal. Certificate Jakubek BPP (1995)

1⅓ Schilling red-carmine, fresh colours and well rouletted, with neatly upward and adjacent Danish single-circle cancellation "WANDSBECK 25/4 1867" on cover to Winsen in the Prussian province of Hanover, with transit cancellations from Hamburg and the Lübeck-Hamburg Travelling Post Office and arrival postmark. A scarce single franking, according to the rate valid from 1 January 1867, to the 1st Prussian Rayon; we have registered only a few similar ones. Certificate Möller BPP (2018)

Slight patina, otherwise perfect. An attractive and scarce letter from the well-known Hartz correspondence.
