1869: Folded cover from Marseilles to Alep, SYRIA franked by six singles of Napoleon 1868 80c. tied by numeral "2240" to front IN COMBINATION WITH TURKISH 1868 10pa. plus 1869 postage dues 2g., 5g. strip of five and 25g. tied by native square h/s in blue to back, with Marseilles '28 Nov ...' despatch c.d.s. (front), and on the reverse with Alep arrival dater. Vertical cover fold through one of the 80c. and a 5g., the Turkish 10pa. and 25g. damaged due to usage as closing adhesives. A VERY UNUSUAL COVER BEARING A SPECTACULAR MIXED FRANKING.
