UPU card rate tied "SHANGHAI 28.9.41" endorsed "via USA-Pacific" to Stuttgart/Germany, Robert Landauer correspondence, Judaica. - Bears violet triangular "Passed / by Censor" of the UK imperial type, also two-line U.S. type "RETURNED TO SENDER / SERVICE SUSPENDED", also black "EXAMINED BY..." and on reverse U.S. style pointing finger pictorial mark "return to sender". - This card probably was held in the U.S. until after the end of WWII and delivered ca. August, 1946.
