1922: De La Rue Die Proofs for the Badge Issue with Proofs (17) all printed in black on glazed white card, affixed to three large pieces cut from the DLR Day Book detailing sheet sizes, with Vignette only Proof dated "March 28th" in manuscript, above Frame only Proofs of 1 d., 6 d., 1 s.,1/6 d. and 2/6 d. values all signed off as completed in red (15.5.22); second piece with ½ d., 1½ d., 2 d., 3 d., 4 d. and 5 d. values all signed off in red ink (19.12.22), third piece with high values 5 s., 7/6 d., 10 s., 15 s. and £ 1 values signed off in red (15.5.22). An exceptional and important group.
