BENI-SAAB PROVISIONAL STAMP, 1917, tied to partial cover by Turkish Field Post Office “46” cancel (MP18) used by the 1st Expeditionary Corps, the XXII Army Corps and the 8th Army in Beni-Saab and elsewhere. In 1917-1918 there was a shortage of the 5pa stamps needed for printed matter and postal orders, so five sheets of 100 stamps of the 10pa Adrianople issue were overprinted and used in Beni-Saab during the period 27 Dec. 1917—6 Feb. 1918.
