III 21.2.74" on understamped envelope with handwritten annotation "Bfks" (letterbox), the cancellations "Insufficiently prepaid" and "MORE TO PAY" and postage due marking "4" (pence) in black ink to Oxford with arrival postmark. The letter was treated as unfranked and 2 pence of the 6 pence postage for the insufficiently prepaid letter was credited with 2 pence (red chalk mark "2"), the remaining 4 pence was collected from the addressee.
