Airmail, 1933, Balbo Air Squadron Flight New York to Rome, 2¢ postal envelope to Philadelphia, uprated with 10¢ Monroe, 50¢ Arlington Amphitheater, $1 Lincoln Memorial & $2 U.S. Capitol, which are tied by New York July 23, 1933 duplex postmarks; 10¢ & 50¢ adhesives also tied by special official cachet inscribed "New York-Roma" provided by the U.S. Post Office Department; $1 & $2 adhesives also tied by double circle blue cachet reading "Crociera Aerea Del Decennale, Italia-Nord America", backstamped at Roma, Torino & Philadelphia. Also "2729" number at left, although not registered mail, each cover dispatched from New York was serially numbered and handled throughout by the Registry Division, Very Fine, only 220 covers flown.
