Stampless cover 1877 (Dec): Envelope from Sofia to Cairo bearing intaglio privilege seal of Sofia Hospital, an incorrect use for overseas destinations, "CONSTANTINOPLE TURQUIE" datestamp (12 Dec) transit cds and oval framed 'T' handstamp, both in blue alongside. Reverse with "POSTE EGIZIANE ALESSANDRIA" and "POSTE EGIZIANE CAIRO" transit cds's (both 18 Dec) front with '3' postage due charge. Reduced slightly at top with part missing, otherwise clean and attractive item from the Russo-Turkish War of 1877/78.
