1876: 1 s. deep green, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 14½ x 12½, type C, a used horizontal strip of three in combination with 4 d. carmine, perf. 14, type B, used on 1880 registered cover to Cheltenham tied by sunburst obliterators in black. "ST. HELENA" despatch cds at left (Sept 13) and oval "Registered  / St. Helena" in red. Reverse with Bristol cds (Sept 30) and Cheltenham same day arrival cds. Cover with sealed diagonal tear not affecting the adhesives and not greatly detracting from the appearance of the cover.
