1887 military free frank (opened for display) headed "Corps Expeditionnaire di Cambodge", addressed to France, with cancels of "Kampot Cambodge 17 Nov 87", supported by military cachet on back "Service de Kampot Commandant", signed by the officer, routed via Hatian with "Cochinchine Hatien" (18 Nov) and "Cochinchine/Chaudoc" (20 Nov) transits, also "Saigon Cochinchine" (22 Nov) and La Rochelle (1 Jan 88) arrival pmks. On front there is "Corps Exp. Tonkin Ligne No.6" double ring (2 Dec) (Salles 1954) indicating that this cover was sent on the French paquebot "Natal", some cover wear, rare item from Kampot during the 1st Cambodian Expedition
