1933/1953 ca., RELIEF DATESTAMPS of Australia, remarkable collection with ca.35 covers, comprising various types of relief datestamps, i.a. New South Wales "cut-down" types with different letters, machine cancellations, datestamps with inscription 'RELIEF STAMP' from Tasmania and Victoria, 'RELIEF & Number' types from South Australia and Western Australia etc. Included are 5 registered covers, i.a. from Cumnock N.S.W. to USA with datestamp cut-down to "O", a further example from opening day of the post office in Amesbury N.S.W. prior to the allocation of the new stamp device, also included are relief datestamps from military post offices, airmail covers incl. airletters to various destinations, official mail and many other interesting items, mostly F/VF condition.
