1903 Registered double-weight envelope, printed 'New London & Amsterdam Borneo Tobacco Co., Ltd.', used from Kudat to Cottbus, Germany via Labuan, franked by 1897-1902 2c. and 4c. in combination with 1901 British Protectorate 1c. strip of three, 3., 5c.(2) and 6c. all tied by "KUDAT/20/JUL/1903" c.d.s., "REGISTERED No." h/s alongside, Labuan '22 July' and '23 July' transit datestamps as well as Cottbus '24.8.03' arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. The adhesives paying the double-rate of 2x10c. plus the 8c. registration fee. Stamps and envelope with traces of usage and ageing as usual. An attractive and scarce combination franking.
