1872 (ca.), QV definitives four different stamps incl. ½d. claret, 1d. blue, 2d. rose and 4d. red-orange in IMPERFORATE PLATE PROOFS on thin glazed ungummed paper with opt. 'CANCELLED' in matching blocks of six from upper left corners with different boxed PLATE NUMBERS '54' (½d.), '167' (1d.), '169' (2d.) and '170' (4d.); a few bends, surface marks and trivial adhesions on reverse but a very scarce and most attractive lot in bright colours, probably only one sheet of 240 of each value existed making these to UNIQUE positional multiples with only one further set possible!
