PALAST DER REPUBLIK" - sehr interessante Ausstellungs-Sammlung zu diesem zeitgeschichtlichen Thema, mit viel Sachverstand und Engagement von einem Ost-Berliner Sammler in langjähriger Sammeltätigkeit zusammengetragen, und mit viel Liebe zum Detail professionell aufgebaut, auf 60 selbst gestalteten Albumblättern (= 5 Rahmen). Die Sammlung dokumentiert chronologisch mit Hilfe des Postamtes 25, dass zu der Eröffnung des Palastes der Republik als hauseigenes Postamt dorthin umgezogen war, und zu allen wichtigen Veranstaltungen einen Sonderstempel führte, die für die damalige DDR innenpolitisch wichtigen kulturellen und politischen Ereignisse, aber auch die Verwaltung des Gebäudes. Verwendet wurden hauptsächlich Briefe und Karten mit Stempeln, Sonder- und Nebenstempeln, sowie Zudrucken, beginnend mit der Eröffnung am 22. April, bzw. der Übergabe an das Volk am 23. April 1976. Dabei sind viele seltene Belege enthalten, da es Stempel mit nur kurzen Verwendungszeiten gab, und der Palast der Republik und das Postamt während politischer Veranstaltungen für das Publikum nicht zugänglich waren. Die Sammelstücke sind mit schwarzen Rahmen versehen auf cremefarbenen Albumblättern untergebracht, und mit ausführlichen Beschreibungen und Erläuterungen versehen. Die Blätter sind in Klarsichtfolien in einem dicken Binder untergebracht. Die Sammlung wurde mehrfach ausgestellt und prämiert. Eine aussagekräftige Dokumentation eines sehr interessanten Stückes jüngster deutscher Geschichte, das in sich abgeschlossen ist, da der Palast der Republik nach der Wiedervereinigung außer Dienst gestellt, und einige Jahre später abgerissen wurde. ˜ "PALACE OF THE REPUBLIC" - very interesting exhibition collection of this time historical theme, build up professionally with a lot of expertise and commitment by an collector from East Berlin, gathered in many years of collecting activities, and with great attention to detail, on 60 self made album leaves (= 5 frames). The collection documents chronologically the for the former GDR important cultural and political events, as well as the management of the building, by means of the post office 25, that was moved to the opening of the Palace of the Republic as on-site post office there, and that had to all the major events a special stamp. Included are mainly letters and cards with stamps, special and additional cancellations and imprints, starting with the opening on April 22, and the handover to the people on April 23 of the year 1976. There are included many rare documents with cancellations which had only a short period of use, and of times the Palace of the Republic and the post office were not open to the public during political events. The collectibles are mounted with black frames on cream colored album pages and provided with detailed descriptions and explanations. The leaves are housed in transparencies in a thick Binder. The collection was exhibited several times and awarded. A meaningful documentation of a very interesting piece of recent German history, which is complete in itself, as the Palace of the Republic after reunification decommissioned, and was demolished a few years later.
