1877 Envelope bearing Straits Settlements 1867-72 4c. rose (2) and 24c. blue-green (2), slightly faulty sent to GUERNSEY, CHANNEL ISLANDS GB, cancelled by Singapore "B/172" postmark. Manuscript "Via Brindisi", and arrival datestamp "Guernsey / Apr 24" on reverse. Lower right corner of envelope and flap missing. No further covers to this destination were found in the Spink database or in the famous P.H Tay collection. A VERY RARE DESTINATION OF THE VICTORIA ISSUE AND EXTREMELY INTERESTING FOR THE COLLECTOR OF INCOMING MAIL TO THE CHANNEL ISLANDS.
