1863/81: Laureated 6 d. blue, a horizontal pair, used with single 2 d. lilac-grey tied to 1867 entire letter to Berlin by barred numeral "78" obliterators of St. Kilda. Reverse with oval St. Kilda (Dec 28) despatch and Melbourne datestamps and Berlin arrival in black; obverse with "Aus Frankreich per Aachen / Franco" in blue (Feb 12, 1868) and red 'PD'. Listed in the Ben Palmer census on page 107: the cover being overpaid for both the 11 d. via Southampton rate and the 10d. via Marseilles rates. Red 'P.D.' in red below and French entry marking on front and Aigre arrival (March 18). Carried on the "Nubia" to Galle, "Delhi" to Suez and "Candia" from Alexandria to Brindisi. Lissted in the Ben Palmer census on page 89. Potosi via Suez and Naples" all tied by "1" numeral obliterators in black with five strikes of "R" below. Oval "REGISTERED / MELBOURNE" datestamp below (Oct 15). Red 'Modane a Paris' transit cds (Nov 20) and reverse with Bordeaux arrival cds. Illustrated in "The Stamps of Victoria" by Geoff Kellow RDP on page 207. Listed in the Ben Palmer census on page 95.
