A hand-made, embroidered Matza Cover, the end of the 19th century
At the center of the cover are embroidered the Hebrew initials of the words that compose the blessing of the Matza. Around it are embroidered the signs of the Seder. The cover has three compartments, for three Matzas. Three tongues are sewn to the compartments: "Cohen", "Levy", "Israel". The end of the 19th century (approximated).
Diameter: 35 cm.
The embroidery is mostly complete, yet several letter-parts are missing. The red thread from which the letters had been embroidered has faded a little and stained the light background.
