Australia: Goldfields Express Cycle Stamps: Lake Lefroy Cycle Mail 1897 6d. red on green, with “COOLGARDIE/P.O” duplex of June 8 1897, with a few small faults nevertheless a very fine example of this rare stamp. In use for about three months in early 1897 to carry mail by cycle to and from the new gold rush area of Lake Lefroy and Coolgardie, it is estimated that perhaps only around twenty examples survive, unused or used. Photo.
