1888 Registered cover from Sandakan to Germany, franked with 1886 10c. blue, 1886-87 ½c. rose block of four, and 1c. orange, in combination with 1888 3c. violet strip of three and 5c. slate, cancelled by ovals of bars in black and red "SANDAKAN/31/OC/1888" c.d.s., with blue registration pen-cross and "2", on reverse with boxed "REGISTERED No. (4981)" h/s in blue and Leipzig arrival datestamps. Cover soiled and stained, but still attractive with a scarce 5-colour-multiples-combination-franking. B.P.A. certificate. Catalog Price 1000.00
