WWII H.M.S Salamander correspondence mainly from Harold Graham King the Commander of the Salamander from 1943-44 back to his wife whilst on active service - interesting contents, envelopes bear the appropriated Maritime/mail marks in red & censor marks in blue. H.M.S Salamander spent time as a minesweeper escorting Russian Convoys, by tragic mistake Salamander was attacked by British Typhoon aircraft & was severely damaged & eventually scrapped at Blyth in 1947.
