1854 Typographed 2a. green used on Tamil cover from Madras to Trichinopoly, tied by diamond of dots, "MADRAS/1855 September 11/Bearing" d/s in black and "8 As" in m/s alongside, on reverse with "MADRAS/1855 SEPt 11/PAID" d/s in red and "TRICHINOPOLY/18.. September../Bearing." h/s in black. Also on reverse with notes in manuscript reading 'Trichinoply 22nd July 1848', 'Trichinopoly Received 22nd July 1848' etc., which could be notes only or an indication that the envelope has been used stampless in 1848?
