10c Columbian Issue (Scott 237), Never Hinged bottom plate no. 101, imprint and "Y" strip of four, long diagonal foldunder through right pair and selvage below left pair slightly redirects the vertical perforations at bottom, rich color and detailed impression on bright white paper, pristine gum, natural straight edge at right, usual natural gum creases, small vertical crease in selvage below plate number does not detract from this unusual freak plate number strip, which is very scarce in Never Hinged condition [ex collection J.V. Painter]
