1842 1d red brown NE on a registered entire from Whitehaven via Kendal to Henley-on-Thames, stamps with four good margins & lightly cancelled with the rare WHITEHAVEN distinctive MC, obverse bears Kendal transit c.d.s. for Sept 27th and Henley-on-Thames receiving c.d.s for Sept 29th, reverse with despatch c.d.s for Sept 26th.
