Lord Melville' at top, reverse with faint 'Bengal Post Paid' in black, struck with framed italic SHIP LETTER on arrival in London (Robertson S37), this over-struck with Scottish 'Add / ½' tax and initial rating of 4/3d. in manuscript altered to 5/3d. to pay on arrival in Edinburgh (July 6).
