1939 (22.3.), airmail cover bearing four different definitives 'Navigators La Perouse and Bougainville with sailing ship L'Astrolabe' all with three-line handstamp '1er Courrier 100% aerienne / Nouvelle Caledonie -- France / via Australia' (applied on stamps after affixing to envelope) commercially used from NOUMEA to Sydney with Brisbane transitmark on reverse (29.3.39), the cover was carried on the historic first flight from New Caledonia to France via Australia with a total of 1154 covers carried incl. 373 adressed to Australia, faults at top of cover etc. but very scarce item with Sismondo certificate (2010) Catalog Price 110.00
