Brazil - Pernambuco. Piece bearing 1873 3d rose plate 10 pair tied by two strikes of oval "INSUFFICIENTLY / P / PREPAID". An exceptional use of this distinctive handstamp (which was sent to Pernambuco in 1866) as a cancellation on stamps. Photo included on Back Cover.
