1875 Cover from Buenos Aires to Locarno, Canton Ticino, Switzerland per steamer "France" via Marseilles, franked by Argentinean 1868 5c. vermilion tied by "BUENOS AIRES/OCT/20/1875" cds in combination with French 1870 40c. orange and 1872 80c. rose-carmine tied by numeral h/s "2240" of Marseilles, with red Marseilles '16 NOV 75' arrival cds, red boxed "PD" and blue "E" in diamond h/s alongside, and on the reverse with Swiss transit and '19.XI.75' arrival cds. Cover opened roughly at top (minor faults) otherwise fine. A SCARCE MIXED FRANKING AND A RARE DESTINATION. J.C.
