PORTUGAL 1937, Trans-Atlantic Air Mail. "Yankee Clipper" arrived at Marceille with 187,000 covers from U.S.A. and 3,000 from Azores, then flew to Southampton without mails. No British mails on first return flight, but may be accepted for next flight, May 27th. No information has been supplied to Britain regarding any of these flights by the authorities and no postal details available.

INDIA 1933, (July 21) Australia to England flight by Capt. James Woods in "The Spirit of Western Australia", cover flown from Calcutta to Lucknow with a 1a3p stamp cancelled upon arrival, bearing a "DUM DUM AIR PORT" label tied by the violet flight cachet, a further strike on the reverse. The cover was signed by Woods in 1958. superb and very scarce, just 16 covers flown.
