KG 50th Auction Anniversary Auction - Day 3 Ceylon / Sri Lanka: 1902 "PISA-PROVISORIUM", postcard from the departure from Colombo with uncancell 1902 "PISA-PROVISORIUM", postcard from the departure from Colombo with uncancelled 6 Cent Ceylon franking, single circle "KDMSP No.2 21.7.0" alongside and "5" in ms, as well as 5 Pfennig DR-Germania with single circle "BERLIN C 1 MARINE-POSTBUREAU 23.8.02" to Frankfurt/Oder with arrival datestamp of 23. August 1902. Rare card! Signed v. Willmann. During the journey from Pisa to Tientsin and back (26 June till 9 October 1902), the military service transport replacement steamer ran out of 5 Pfennig stamps en route. According to regulations, all postcards that should have prepaid with 5 Pfennig stamps were sent to the Marine post office in mailbags and unfranked. These were then franked with small "5" written in ink on front at lower left. Prevenance: Wilhelm, Welfen. ÷ 1902 "PISA-PROVISORIUM", Ansichtskarte von der Ausreise aus Colombo mit unentwerteter Ceylon-Frankatur 6 Cent und nebengesetztem K1 "KDMSP No.2 21.7.02" und handschriftlicher "5" sowie 5 Pfennig DR-Germania mit K1 "BERLIN C 1 MARINE-POSTBUREAU 23.8.02" nach Frankfurt an der Oder mit Ankunftsstempel vom 23.8.02. Seltene Karte! Sign. v. Willmann. Auf dem Ablösungstransport-Dampfer Pisa gingen während der Reise im Heeresdienst vom 26.6. bis zum 9.10.1902 nach Tientsin und zurück unterwegs die Wertzeichen zu 5 Pfennig aus. Laut der für solche Fälle erlassenen Vorschrift sandte man in den Briefbeuteln die Postkarten usw. für die zur Freimachung Wertzeichen zu 5 Pfennig hätten benutzt werden sollen unfrankiert an das Marine-Post-Bureau in Berlin zur Nachfrankierung gemäß der links unten auf der Vorderseite der Karten vermerkten "5", welche klein mit Tinte geschrieben wurde, ein.
