1901 (July 15) Long registered commercial cover to the USA bearing 1888-92 50c chalky blue (S.G. 46b) tied by a Sandakan c.d.s, with superb boxed "R / SANDAKAN / No (54)" alongside, and a Registered London transit datestamp below. Backstamped at Sandakan, Singapore, Chicago and Minneapolis. Exceptionally scarce, the 50c unpriced on cover by S.G., probably a unique single franking on a commercial cover. Photo on Page 193.
