1916 Registered cover to Keetmanshoop bearing four South Africa 3d stamps each tied by Gibeon c.d.s, with unusual triangular framed "Gibeon" handstamp containing the registration number in manuscript; and a 1918 stampless censored registered cover to Windhoek with an unusual embossed "GIBEON" label used as a registration label. The 1918 cover badly torn, the 1916 cover fine, an unusual pair. (2).

Just fifty cards believed to have been overprinted with this provisional 1⁄2d surcharge; three examples have been recorded used, all to Germany.
