 Lot 51760 - south africa Union & Republic of South Africa - David Feldman S.A. British Empire - Day 61987 (19th Nov) The Bible Society of South Africa, 40c. Word of God mint n.h. block of six from the upper left corner of the sheet; superb (SACC 638). These stamps were supplied to various South African Post Offices before the date of issue and, despite being instructed to withdraw the stamp because of Jewish Religious objections, over 1500 copies were sold as well as a few control blocks and some First Day Covers.
