In 1940, the Post Office Department offered to accept some of the ungummed 1935 Farley Special Printings to be gummed. This program was not widely known so few collectors actually participated, and these gummed stamps are quite scarce. According to Scott, only 756-65 and 769-70 were accepted in this program.
