1856 QV Diadem (1d to 3d) deep bright blue master PROOF sheetlet of 6 with blank 'Postage' & lower tablet, plus LL cnr excised, on gummed wove paper with sheet watermark, with m/s 'No 9' at top. These proofs were made by Perkins Bacon in 1870 as colour trails for GB QV ½d. Superb M/MNH, sl gum aging. SG 117(p). Listed in GB proofs section by SG QV Spec DP66 cat £6000+. Extremely rare type of proof & probably unique in this colour combination. Certificate can be obtained on request. (P)
