1854 QV Diadem 6d orange-red special proof with waxed/erased LL & LR corners for security, as master PROOF sheetlet of 4, on wove paper, with m/s 'No 3' at base, 2 of the proofs having being excised to affix on Perkins Bacon archival pages about the colour trials. F-VF UN as made, sl imperfections as expected. SG 89(p). The only known such sheetlet in this colour & an important item for the NSW specialist. Certificate can be obtained on request. (P)
