Legion/ Yorktown Va", a bit of edge wrinkling but overall Very Fine (Scott $550)rnrnBenjamin Cunningham Yancey (1836-1909) was the son of renowned William Lowndes Yancey, U.S. Congressman and Confederate Senator from Alabama, the first Confederate Commissioner sent to England and France by President Davis. Ben served through most of the war as captain of the artillery, eventually becoming Lt. Colonel of the 17th Battalion of Alabama Sharpshooters.
