WAR AID: Shipment of tobacco and cigarettes to German prisoners of war in Canada and to the interned (first) and then POW sailors of the wrecked battleship Graf Spee in Argentina, fantastic and original collection of 16 pages (one frame) prepared by the grandson of Anton Aerts, a German national living in a rural town in Paraguay (Colonia Fram, Carmen del Paraná), who organized with other fellow Germans the shipment of aid to German prisoners of war. It includes original photos, a good number of covers sent by the prisoners from various camps (2 with free frank sent by the war interns in Argentina, ex-sailors of the Graf Spee), documents, a photo signed and dedicated and a cover with a hand-written letter both signed by Captain Kay, etc. Unique material of great historical and philatelic value, offered at a very low and attractive start!
