Italy: Trieste Zone A, Balance of Specialized Collection, 1947-1954. About 120 pieces comprised almost exclusively of overprint or perforation varieties mounted on Joe Bush pages; just about the only "normal" stamps are the back-of-the-book issues EY1-QY4 complete (mostly lightly hinged, but including never hinged Q12, Q24 & 26); varieties include watermarks, double or misplaced perforations and misplaced or omitted overprints including a pair of the 100L #107, one without overprint, and a sheet margin single of the same stamp imperf horizontally, neither of which is listed by Sassone. Also includes a handful of covers, among them two FDCs bearing the 31 stamps issued 1 Oct 1947. Clean and Fine to Very Fine throughout and mostly never hinged. A terrific lot for the specialist.
