1885 (Dec 12): Stampless Military concession cover , struck with bilingual "PLOVDIV / PHILIPPOPLE" datestamp (Dec 12j) in blue (Zagorsky Type III) and by "MILITARY COMMANDER / PLOVDIV" circular "Lion" intaglio cachet in blue. Plovdiv , after a revolt (now celebrated on Sept 6) had been returned from Eastern Roumelia to Bulgaria in 1885. Slight file folds do not detract from a rare and attractive cover.
