1819/1842: Quarantine Hospital of Rothenthurn, two entire letters from Constantinople to Venice struck with 'Sigillum Sanitatis' h.s. in black as well as 1842 letter from Salonique to Trieste, in Semlin opened and disinfected "NETTA DI FUORA E DI DENTRO' with applied wax seal 'SIGIL SANITATIS SEMLINIENSIS' on reverse. Note: The Austrian Government set a 'cordon sanitaire' at rhe border to the territories ruled by the Ottoman Empire. Its most important sanitary stations wehre the Quarantine Lazarets in Semlin and Rothenturn.
