Constantinople 1870 (Nov 29): Stationery envelope 1867 25 s. grey violet, sent from Constantinople to Florence, returned to sender, the indicium cancelled by wreathed CONSTANTINOPLE cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 385) in black. Full prepayment denoted by "P.D." handstamp in black. Reverse with "UDINE - VERONA" ambulant cds and FIRENZE arrival cds (Dec 8), marked with "NON CHIESTA" (not asked for) handstamp, indistinct CONSTANTINOPLE cds upon return.
