1868: Entire letter from Lyon to Pescia, bearing Napoléon laureated 40 c. orange in mixed franking with Siège 40 c. orange, two fresh examples, tied by Gros chiffres '6316' numeral lozenge, superb despatch "LYON LES TERREAUX 28 AVRIL 73" cds and framed "P.D." in red alongside, reverse with Italian "AMBULANTE MODANE - TORINO 20 APR 73" and Pescia arrival cds (April 30). A rarely seen combination of same colour and face value from different issues to pay the double rate to Italy.
