1867: Entire letter from Nantes, endorsed "Voie d'Angleterre" and directed to a forwarder in Port of Spain, Trinidad, bearing Napoléon laureated 30 c. brown (2) and 40 c. orange, all with fresh colour, tied by Gros Chiffres '2602' lozenge, despatch cds (Dec 22, 1871), framed "P.D." and transit "LONDON PAID 25 DE 71" cds, both in red as well as Trinidad arrival cds (Jan 22, 1872) alongside. Reverse with Nantes à Paris ambulant cds, "Paris Étranger" cds in blue and framed FORWARDED BY GEROLD & URICH TRINIDAD. Horizontal file fold and one nibbed perf., nevertheless an interesting item correctly franked for the 1 fr. rate to the West Indies.
