1881 (Jan 1): Locally surcharged "2½" on 1 s. lilac, Setting 8, surcharge Types 23 and 24, an unused block of six (2 x 3) showing first and third stamps surcharged type 23, fifth stamp surcharge type 24; second and fourth stamp surcharge type 23 variety "Surcharge Double" and sixth stamp surcharge type 24 with variety "Surcharge Double", slightest of diagonal bends crosses the central pair but is unobtrusive and does not affect the appearance, old fashioned glue hinge on reverse of sixth stamp otherwise very fresh and fine with large part og.
