Typographed by J.F. Celliers, perforated 12 1883 (April 5): 1 d. grey, 3 d. pale red and 1878/80 6 d. olive-black all used on 1883 cover with complete contents from Pretoria to Macclesfield, England tied by circular "1" numeral obliterators in black with 'Pretoria / Transvaal' cds alongside (Dec 25). Reverse with 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds (Jan 2, 1884) and Macclesfield arrival cds (Jan 23). Cover #35 in the Jorgensen census. Minor flap faults but a charming cover with interesting contents: "the farm 'Kameelfontein' is as yet not surveyed and therefore it is difficult to obtain any reliable and correct information. The farm is situated about 60 miles north of Nylstroom on the Milk River and supposed to be a little over 6'000 English acres...the nominal value is £60...".
