1841: 1 d. red-brown on blued, lettered GL, a used example with large margins all round, tied to 1843 cover to Basingstoke by London "No. 1" in Maltese Cross in black. Double arc Basingstoke arrival cds below (July 16) with London despatch cds on reverse. Slight crease at right but a charming cover Gi = £ 550.
